A query entered in a search tool goes directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the terms and supplies its own results. We do not keep a separate log of names or places entered into those tools.

An email may be retained as needed to answer and manage the exchange. It is not shared beyond our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Putnam County Criminal History does not host, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. Its content identifies official custodians, including the Putnam County Sheriff, local court clerks, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Visitor information is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, not this policy, govern information submitted to them. Each partner sets its own retention, use, and disclosure practices, so review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Putnam County offices, New York court and agency portals, legal resources, or private services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy terms control. Check them before providing personal data.
Advertising providers may use their own technology to recognize activity across websites and select ads. That processing occurs on the provider's systems.

We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be available to:
